Now in its eighth year, the Lumen Prize Exhibition celebrates the very best art created digitally by artists around the world. Its goal is to celebrate the power and potential of this exciting genre through an annual competition and global tour of works selected by an eminent panel of judges. Artists may submit works created, at least in part, on tablets , digital cameras , smartphones or computers . Entries using animation techniques, CGI and moving image software to produce 3D, interactive and time-based works with or without sound are all welcome. Works which use gaming technology, VR, AR, a website or an app are also eligible for entry. If your work is site-specific, please provide video documentation. Essentially, artists can use any equipment , there is no limit. Since its launch in 2012 , the Lumen Prize has already awarded over 70,000 USD in prize money and staged over 45 exhibitions in 15 cities worldwide, including London, New York, Shanghai, St Petersburg, Beijing, Cardiff and Athens. Entry fee is 48 USD for two works and 24 USD for each additional work. Students can enter for free in the Photomonitor Student Award . Eligibility Open worldwide to any digital artist. Prize The judging of the Lumen Prize is done in two stages. The longlist is determined by an international selection committee of curators, artists and academics. This longlist is then reviewed by the judging panel, who select the finalists and winners. This year's prize fund is 11,000 USD . Finalists are also eligible for the People’s Choice Award and the Lumen Gold Award and all women finalists are eligible for the Rapoport Award for Women in Art and Technology .

Prisma International Art Prize 2019

The cultural association Il Varco is happy to announce its 1st Prisma International Art Prize , an exhibition competition entirely organized by artists for the artists. Bringing together the spirit of community and collaboration and the efforts of many young artists involved, it is meant to create a place for art and artists to grow and share their work in a friendly and competitive environment with no favouritism. They are looking for: • Paintings • Drawings • Graphic art • Engravings ( of any size and on any support ) Entry fee is 25 EUR ( approx. 28 USD ) and it allows the submission of up to three works. Eligibility Open to all living artists without limits of age, sex, nationality and culture. Prize Every three months the jury will choose a winner among all the finalist works that will get a 500 EUR ( approx. 565 USD ) cash prize. A total of 2000 EUR ( approx. 2,270 USD ) in cash prizes will be awarded every year to the best artists. Moreover, once a year there will be a collective exhibition will all the suitable works. All the winning paintings, with the artist consent, will be exposed in a big collective exhibition in a gallery in Rome, Italy for a week, where collectors, gallery owners, art critics and enthusiasts will be invited.



3rd Manga CPO Award

Now in its third edition, the Manga CPO Award is organised by a nonprofit organization that pursues new possibilities for manga and aims to connect the world by creating new content. The Award invites people from all over the world to send their works in two sections: • Manga Section • Illustration Section Manga Section : Any theme or genre. Manga must be a one-shot story. Max 32 pages ( including cover ). Must be a completed work ( scripts and rough drafts will not be accepted ). No designated page order ( pages can be ordered from left to right, right to left, or vertically ). Illustration Section : This year the theme is "Journey". Must be in MDP, JPG or PNG format. Maximum File Size: 30 MB. The submission must not have been published in any commercial magazine or on any commercial website. Entrants are welcome to submit as many times as they like. There is no entry fee . Eligibility Open to anyone worldwide, from pros to amateurs. Teams are also welcome. H&M Design Award 2020

H&M Design Award is a competition for students at selected design schools around the world. The aim is to bring up the most promising talents in fashion and give them a springboard in their careers. Your collection should be based on garments, with at least four complete outfits per entry ( no entries that are just print or accessories ). The collection can focus on womenswear , menswear , kidswear or a mixed application. Your portfolio should include: • CV in English • Personal cover letter in English • Entering graduate collection • Digital portfolio ( e.g. mood boards, idea sketches and final designs ) The jury assesses the designers’ creativity, innovation, craftsmanship, uniqueness and the element of sustainability. The jury will also look at how well-made and well-coordinated the graduate collection is. After the application period closes, H&M will go through all applications and select the semi-finalists. From the semi-final, the finalists will be chosen to proceed to the final and present their graduate collection at a special event held at the end of November/beginning December. The overall winner of the H&M Design Award 2020 will then be selected. There is no entry fee . Eligibility You must plan to graduate from a 2019 BA or MA qualifying program ( or equivalent to that ) from a participating college. Find all schools participating in the award here . Prize The winner will be awarded a prize of 25,000 EUR ( approx. 28,310 USD ) as well as a paid internship at the H&M Head Office in Stockholm. In addition, all finalists, including the winner, will be awarded 5,000 EUR ( approx. 5,660 USD ) for making it to the final. The paid internship includes a monthly salary, accommodation in Stockholm as well as other benefits. The internship runs during spring/summer 2020 and will be tailored for the winner, as far as possible, according to their skills and previous experience. The winner has the option to exchange the internship for a grant of 25,000 EUR. The total prize sum will then amount to 50,000 EUR.

Impact Investment Exchange is inviting young artists aged 10-18 across the world to celebrate the value of women through art. The competition welcomes visual and performance artists from all walks of life to submit their original work that captures the interpretation of the theme “ SHE IS MORE ”. There are two main categories: • Visual Art : Painting, Sketches/Drawings, Photography and other flat art media • Performance Art : Song, Music and Dance Participants are invited to submit flat visual art with dimensions not exceeding 30cm x 42cm ( A3 Paper Size ). Any medium ( pastel, watercolor, oil, pencil, crayon, digital art, collage etc. ) is acceptable. Most people assume that black & white is referring to photography but there are endless possibilities for this category in any fine art genre. The “etc.” element in this exhibition permits some color to be present. Color should not be the predominate element in the composition but rather an intriguing flash of emphasis if the artist so chooses. Any fine art medium, subject or genre is appropriate to submit to jury including three dimension works and photos of installations.

Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th places will featured winners’ artwork, artist statement and biography as well as a cash award and certificate. Certificates of Award will be emailed to Honorable Mention and Notable category artists.Explore Bauhaus Prairie Art Gallery

New American Paintings - Midwest Regional Competition

New American Paintings is a museum-quality, soft-cover art periodical, published bimonthly by The Open Studios Press. Each 176 page volume is a regional exhibition-in-print, selling for $20 at 1,500 bookstores, museum shops and art supply stores nationwide. The books have become periodical resources for collectors and art world professionals.

Competition winners retain all rights to their images and pay nothing to appear in New American Paintings. The forty winners of each competition receive a four-page, full-color spread in New American Paintings. Five of the annual competitions focus on geographic regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, West and Pacific Coast), and the sixth is only open to current Masters of Fine Arts candidates who are attending schools based in the United States, and current year graduates. The focus of the Cheltenham Illustration Awards has always been one of narrative. Visual storytelling, whether sequential or single image, gives scope to the imagination and opens up possibilities beyond the present moment. This year the theme is: All Together Now: Tales of Unity . There are two main sections: • Student • Emerging and Established The Student category is open to all full-time students over 18 years of age worldwide. The Emerging and Established category is open to any newly practising illustrators who are wishing to gain exposure of their work and to those who are more established and are apart of the illustration world. Entries are limited to 4 per person. There is no entry fee . Eligibility Open worldwide to all students, emerging and established illustrators. Entrants must be 18+. The Adobe Design Achievement Awards celebrate creative achievement reflecting the powerful convergence of technology and the creative arts. And from this year, you no longer have to be a student to submit your work to the Adobe Awards ( but those of you enrolled in school are still eligible! ). The competition, which showcases individual and group projects created with industry-leading Adobe creative software, honours the most talented and promising graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, animators, digital filmmakers, developers and computer artists. There are six categories: • Photography • Video • Illustration • Motion Graphics / Animation • Print / Graphic • Digital Products & Experiences The work must be created primarily ( 50% or more ) with the Adobe tools designated in each category and be accompanied by original digital files in Adobe software if requested. Submitted projects must have been created not earlier than May 1, 2018 . There is no entry fee . Eligibility Open worldwide to any young or emerging creator ( over 18 ), regardless of whether or not you’re currently attending school. Prize There will be just one cut in the 2019 competition, down to the top 5-10% of all entrants. These emerging creators will be the members of Adobe's " Top Talent " of 2019. They will all receive a free year-long Creative Cloud subscription, and they will all form an exclusive community, with special access to Adobe, eligible for additional opportunities on a regular basis, for a term of 12 months – all designed to launch their creative careers. Since 2000 , Andreu World has been holding a juried competition to showcase unique and innovative seating and table design solutions. This event has established itself on the international scene by becoming a showcase for the latest trends in furniture design, as well as a launching pad for new artists. Andreu World has now opened the registration period for its 19th International Design Competition . The assignment is to design a chair or a table. The designs should be sustainable with possible innovative features related to design, quality, technology, production processes, etc. • Seating : The main material used shall be Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut. Chairs may be upholstered to a greater or lesser extent, if considered appropriate and veneered board or plywood • Tables : The main material used shall be Beech wood, Oak wood or Walnut. Tables may be veneered board or plywood All designs presented shall be new, not having been marketed or disclosed prior to the date of the Competition. The use of other materials such as metals, plastics, glass, etc. is allowed when complementary, structural or incidental to the above. There is no entry fee . Eligibility Open worldwide both to design students and to professionals, without age limit. Prize 1st and 2nd prizes of 4000 EUR ( approx. 4,495 USD ) and 2000 EUR ( approx. 2,245 USD ), respectively, will be awarded by a jury composed of professionals from different sectors: Design, Industry, Media and other fields related to creative activities.
